Students are getting acquainted with their library.  The campus-wide expections of BEING SAFE, BEING RESPONSIBLE, BEING RESPECTFUL pertaining to the library are highlighted.  Students are shown where to find materials:  FICTION, EVERYONE FICTION, NON-FICTION, EVERYONE NON-FICTION. Library procedures of check out, placing holds, renewal of books, number of books they may check out, overdues/fines, etc. are discussed.
K-2nd graders are introduced to RICCI, the library raccoon mascot. Stories are read to them about highlighting books & the library - "Wild About Books," "Born to Read," & "Library Lion."
3-6th graders are learning about the MZ DEWEY DECIMAL NOTEBOOK.  This notebook helps students find materials in the Non-Fiction section of the library.
